LEARNING THAT MATTERS
To Believe, To Think, To Achieve’. At Bayview College we believe education is a holistic experience, engaging all aspects of the students being, as our young people need much more than facts and content. We believe every student is a unique individual who learns in their own way, in their own time. We are committed to developing Learning That Matters for students where their interests become their passions, and their passions become their strengths.
Our curriculum reflect this, offering students a breadth of experiences while allowing sufficient time and space to engage deeply in engaging course content. Our approach places each student, their needs, and interests at the centre of planning through the design of a Personal Learning Plan (PLP) for every student. This plan is developed in collaboration with the student, Parents/Guardian and school and includes individualised and personal learning pathways for every student. Real learning focuses on what really matters, the bigger picture beyond the boundaries of traditional subject content knowledge: how do we deeply, with great care, wholly influence a person’s development positively. Personal learning means we ‘know’ our students. There is a difference between personalised learning and personal learning: personalised is what we do to them as individuals; personal is what they need to do for themselves.
On our Website you will find a wealth of information about the curriculum we offer and how it is structured to cover the Australian Curriculum in a way that intentionally enables students the ability to extend and consolidate their knowledge as required.
