INCLUSION
The Inclusion program at Bayview takes our Wave, Anchor, Circle and Horizons programs to a new level. At Bayview College we believe in recognising, celebrating, extending and supporting the unique individual abilities of students with learning exceptionalities; whether they be gifts or learning difficulties. The Inclusion program empowers the student to plot their own course and work specifically at their “stage not age”.
Our inclusion team work closely with students and their parents/guardians in the development of an Individual Learning Plan (ILP). Each ILP identifies students areas of strength and challenge, agreed strategies to be used for emotional and academic support. Our staff then individually tailor their program delivery and assessment for students with exceptionalities in learning as identified in thier ILP.
Our staff are skilled and knowledgeable in the following areas: Indigenous Education, ASD, Dyslexia/Irlen Syndrome, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Auditory Processing, Short Term Memory, and Hearing Impairment.
